Cavities (also known as caries or tooth decay) are the most common chronic disease of childhood. Untreated cavities can cause pain and infections that may lead to problems with eating, speaking, playing, and learning. Children who have poor oral health often miss more school and receive lower grades than children who don’t.

The baby boomer generation is the first where the majority of people will keep their natural teeth over their entire lifetime. This is largely because of the benefits of water fluoridation and fluoride toothpaste. However, threats to oral health, including tooth loss, continue throughout life.

Sure, regular cleanings with our office promote good oral hygiene, but did you know it can also prevent a multitude of diseases?
